Mark Klein to speak during the Economist General Counsel Summit

Mark Klein, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer at Burford Capital will speak on the roundtable "Doubling Down on Value: The Legal Department as Business Partner and Capital Source" during the General Counsel Summit on September 5 in New York.

The session will explore how legal teams can be more integrated in the revenue-generating aspects of the business and establish systematic recovery efforts that can both offset legal costs and generate cash for other areas of the business, leveraging recent case studies from Fortune 500 companies whose GCs did just that. Additionally, the session will address some of the culture shifts that GCs can champion to ensure that legal is perceived as a partner, not an obstacle, to business growth.

Mark will be joined by Anna Newsom, Executive Vice-president and Chief Legal Officer at Providence Health.
