Emily Tillett, Vice President at Burford, will be speaking on the panel “Arbitration and Alternative Fees: New Landscape, New Opportunities?” at the 2022 ADR in Asia conference, the flagship event of Hong Kong Arbitration Week. The session will take place on 26 October at 2:05pm HKT.
The panel will introduce the amendment bill and discuss how clients can benefit from the new developments. The panellists will briefly explain the anticipated regulatory framework and highlight the expansion of alternative financing options including litigation finance in Hong Kong. The experts will also discuss how arbitration procedures could be optimized for crypto disputes and first learnings from disputes already underway. Emily will be joined by Kathryn Sanger (HSF) and Benny Lo (Des Voeux Chambers).
