Andrew Cohen, Managing Director at Burford Capital will speak at the Legal Funding Legislation conference hosted by NYU. This event will take place on October 28 at 9:00am ET in New York.
The conference will consist of four panels, each focusing on a different bill and the underlying issues that it raises. The bill sponsors will be invited to present, along with experts on the topics the bill covers. Through these four panels, covering four bills, the event hopes to bridge the gap among the academic debate over third-party funding, the practitioner and lobbyist debate, and the legislative debate.
The Center on Civil Justice at NYU School of Law is home to the leading group of scholars in the fields of civil procedure and aggregate litigation. Building on this strength, the Law School created the Center on Civil Justice to connect its faculty with practitioners, judges, and other experts who share an interest in improving the civil litigation system.
