Robin Ganguly is Counsel with responsibility for assessing and underwriting legal risk, focusing on contentious insolvencies. He is fluent in French and Italian with working knowledge of Spanish.
Mr Ganguly has extensive experience of litigation and arbitration involving commercial, financial and insolvency disputes, often with an element of fraud. Prior to joining Burford, Mr Ganguly spent almost a decade at Magic Circle firm Linklaters before moving to Silver Circle firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner), where he developed and led the contentious insolvency practice. Mr Ganguly has spent time on secondment both in Europe and to the in-house litigation teams for leading multinational investment banks, advising on and managing a variety of claims.
Mr Ganguly graduated with a master’s degree with First Class Honours from the University of Oxford and remained at Oxford for his legal studies.
