Vice President, Advisory
Robert Capper is a Vice President with responsibility for leading Burford’s asset recovery advisory business.
Prior to joining Burford, Robert worked for the British Intelligence Services for eight years, where his work focused on counterintelligence and counterterrorism investigations, especially in north and west Africa. After leaving government service, Robert joined a leading global risk management consultancy before helping to establish Focus, a specialist dispute resolution boutique which was subsequently acquired by Burford Capital in January 2015. Robert’s experience includes high-profile sovereign disputes and asset tracing, with an emphasis on fraud and white collar crime investigations.
Robert has a master’s degree from the University of Bristol and further post-graduate qualifications from the University of Edinburgh.
