Michael Sternhell to speak at American Bar Association’s International Law 2025 Annual Conference

Michael Sternhell, Director at Burford Capital will speak on the panel “Global Class Actions Primer” during the International Law Annual Conference hosted by The American Bar Association. The conference will take place from April 28 to May 1 in New York.
This CLE serves as a primer on class action litigation in U.S. federal courts. Panelists will discuss the purpose of class actions, as well as the risks class actions may pose to defendants, and class members. The CLE will review the prerequisites that a class action must satisfy before a court may “certify” it—that is, before a federal court may allow a case to proceed as a class action.
The American Bar Association was founded in 1878 on a commitment to set the legal and ethical foundation for the American nation. Today, it exists as a membership organization and stands committed to its mission of defending liberty and pursuing justice.
