Emily Tillett to speak during HKArb Week

Emily Tillett, Vice President at Burford Capital will speak on the panel “Time to drill into International Arbitration in the Mining Sector" hosted by King & Spalding during HKArb week. The session will take place on October 21 at 11:00 HKT in Hong Kong.

The panel will explore aspects of both commercial and investment arbitration in the mining sector, including: typical sources of disputes in the mining sector; how to protect investments in the mining sector from regulatory and licensing/permitting changes, both through contractual clauses and investment treaty protection; the impact of environmental and local community issues; and quantifying damages in mining arbitrations.

Emily will be joined by Elodie Dulac (King & Spalding), Michael Peer (AlixPartners) and Kim Rooney (Rede Chambers).

Hong Kong Arbitration Week is an annual event that takes place in Hong Kong and includes conferences, luncheons, and receptions. The week is a celebration of international arbitration and a way to promote its development in Asia.
