Writing for Corporate Counsel, Phillip Bantz cites Burford’s 2018 Litigation Finance Survey in an article addressing the impressive room for growth of legal finance within corporate legal departments. Bantz points out: “As more law firms have used litigation finance, they’ve begun to trumpet the benefits to legal departments.” Burford’s David Perla adds that “nearly half of in-house lawyers [in Burford’s research] reported that they intended to use litigation financing in the next two years.”
