Global Arbitration Review reports on the appointment of Dr. Rukia Baruti to Burford's board. Burford CEO Christopher Bogart is quoted as saying that Baruti is “a highly accomplished leader in the arbitration space with deep international expertise.” He adds, “With this appointment, we also reiterate Burford’s commitment to achieving greater gender and racial diversity in the business of law.”
Dr. Baruti says she is proud to join Burford's board, adding that she has been aware of the funder’s “stellar reputation” for some time.
