Burford Vice Chair David Perla speaks to The Insurer about how opportunities for litigation finance and insurance to work "hand in hand" are increasing, despite the narrative that the two industries are at odds with each other.
Speaking about after the event (ATE) insurance, Perla says "'ATE is a good example of where you'll see the insurance company has always been in the business of working with litigation finance companies and, frankly, working with claimants. It is an insurance product that claimants buy when they're filing the claims.'"
