Mick Smith, Principal at Burford, will be speaking at the Energy Arbitration Club’s 20th Anniversary event, hosted by Norton Rose Fulbright. The event will take place on May 18 at 2:00pm BST.
Mick will be speaking on the theme of the meeting, “Looking back looking forward,” and will speak on what to expect regarding disputes in the energy sector in the future and how to address these upcoming trends via litigation finance. The event will feature several presentations on M&S disputes, modernization/reform of the ECT, arbitration and joint venture disputes and will conclude with a networking opportunity.
The Energy Arbitration Club was first formed in 2001 and is a membership group consisting of lawyers (both law firm and corporate), arbitrators, mediators, expert witnesses, parties and others all active in energy industry disputes.
